Project description

Objective

Prepare a campaign to promote a local cultural institution. Re-brand the company logo and develop posters, banners, a billboard and merchandising using your open content images and graphics.

Institution

The Hockey Hall of Fame is located in downtown Toronto, highlighting the history and legends inducted of Canada’s national sport.

Solution

I designed a bold, impactful symbol for the logo re-brand. Hockey is a contact sport, requiring power, strength and endurance.   I wanted the logo to reflect that.

The tagline was designed to evoke an emotional response of nostalgia from the older demographic, and inspire the younger audience. Integrated with a bold type treatment, relevant to that of the logo and new visual identity.

The photography of young athletes, along with a natural landscape in Alberta, was chosen to drive home that vintage, patriotic atmosphere. Consistent image treatments were applied to allow for a unified feel within the campaign.
