Project description

Objective

Create a three stage advertising campaign involving traditional print, digital marketing and a storyboard for a video concept. Improve sales, enhance brand recognition, develop a cohesive campaign.

Product

Dang chips are an all–natural, modern Asian–American snack food.

Solution – Stage 1- Traditional Print

Bus Shelter Ad

The lookin’ like a snack campaign. I used humour and bold illustrations to captivate a younger audience and add a playful feel to this modern Asian snack brand. I kept the colour palette and typography consistent with the existing packaging, then designed the snack illustrations using photo manipulation, to create emotional connections and relatability within characters. The goal was to attract a younger demographic, and increase brand recognition.

Process Work

Solution – Stage 2- Experiential Design

Digital Marketing

Keeping with the lively and playful theme, I designed an app that would be used to engage it’s users with a personality quiz and an interactive game. A QR code is given for a free snack-size sample, to add an incentive to play and provides the brand the opportunity to hook a new following on their Dang good chips.

Solution – Stage 3- Storyboard 

YouTube Short Format

A video with bold colours, quick transitions,  high energy and finished with a clean hero shot of the product and tagline for a message that makes a lasting impression.
