Objective

Design a magazine with a theme of your choosing. Use a strong grid,  typographic hierarchy, and apply appropriate use of photography, illustration and graphics to appeal to a target demographic.

Concept

Introducing Avant Garde, a lifestyle magazine focusing on political justice, politics and environmental issues relevant to the average Canadian. I developed this concept and design with the intent to target millennials who expect more from their media, and value awareness.

Solution

I designed this magazine to be content driven. Each article conveys it’s own theme and emotion, so each design is carefully considered. Each topic should feel new and engaging in a unique way. Avant Garde maintains consistency within it’s grid structure, and typographic hierarchy throughout.
